Dewey Meadows is one of the first few alpaca breeding programs in the country. Starting back in 1984 we have been breeding alpacas for 23 years in New York! In all that time we have not participated in sales or auctions and this will be our first herd reduction. We have over 35 females & 15 males for sale — all born here from our carefully selected foundation herd. They are our alpacas from birth; we know their health and breeding history first hand. If you are in the market for a herd sire or future herd sire, this is the time to take advantage of our "MALE SALE" this summer also. We have some excellent males that would be an asset to any breeding programs, but they are related to our main studs and therefore we are offering them for sale at very reasonable prices considering their quality.Purchasing stock from a reputable, established breeder who has been in the business long-term takes the guesswork out of commonly made mistakes made by New Buyers. Not just color for the sake of color, but rather exciting colored alpacas that also exhibit correct conformation and top quality alpaca fiber characteristics.
